By Sunil Mulay   A private company in the US named Planetary Resources plans to shortly launch an expedition in outer space to exploit resources. The company will initially concentrate on mining on asteroids close to earth for rare earth materials like platinum and   molybdenum. The company said a single 500-metre diameter platinum-rich asteroid contains the equivalent of all the platinum group metals mined in history.
