PUNE: One of the country's largest motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Monday, said that its motorcycle sales increased by eight per cent and commercial vehicle (CV) sales rose 27 per cent in December 2011 from December 2010.   "The company sold 2,63,699 motorcycles in December 2011, compared to 2,43,675 units sold in the same month of 2010, thus registering eight per cent growth in sales.

NEW DELHI : Amid weakening global demand, India's export growth fell to 3.87 percent in November against an average 33.21 percent in the first eight months of 2011-12 fiscal, widening the trade deficit to $13.6 billion, official data showed Monday.   Exports in the month of November were recorded at $22.32 billion, which is 3.87 percent more than the $21.

NEW DELHI: The price of compressed natural gas (CNG) has been hiked by Rs 1.75 per kg in the national capital with effect from midnight tonight, mainly on account of rupee depreciation against the US dollar.   Indraprastha Gas Ltd, which sells CNG to automobiles and piped cooking gas to households in Delhi and neighbouring towns, said the new prices would be effective from midnight tonight.
