MUMBAI: In a major jolt to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), the Bombay High Court (HC) on Friday rejected its plea to hold a rally at the historic Shivaji Park at Dadar in central Mumbai. However, reacting sharply to the judgement Thackeray said that he would hold rallies on streets and the Maharashtra Government was free to register cases against him. It is to be seen whether Thackeray faces contempt of court.

NAGPUR: One more body was extricated on Friday, from the debris of the four-storey building which had collapsed at Chikhali on Monday night. With this, the death toll in the building collapse has risen to eight. It is feared that at least 12 more persons may be trapped. Five bodies were removed from the debris of the building on Thursday. Pawan Kedia was identified as one of the five deceased.
