MELBOURNE: Injury-plagued Brett Lee was unsure if he will continue his Test career until next summer's home Ashes series, though the Australian pacemen insisted that there's still plenty of cricket left in him.

Lee, who underwent a elbow surgery for his latest injury problem, said he doesn't want to make the call now and will wait and watch how things turn out.

''I have to work out what I want from cricket now,'' he said.

''I'll just see how the arm pulls up, see what's in front of me, and see what things I want to tick off in terms of my cricketing life.

''I'll make that call when it's appropriate.

''Hopefully there's a bit of cricket left in me yet, but we'll wait and see how things pan out,'' the 33-year-old was quoted as saying by 'The Australian Associated Press'.

The recent blow came to Lee, after the fast bowler was sent home from the one-day tour of India in October with an elbow injury which required surgery, following a side strain forcing him to miss the Ashes series in England last year.

Though his absence was highly felt by his side and even selectors, a new bench of fast bowlers in the Australian team has emerged including Doug Bollinger, Clint McKay and Ryan Harris, who impressed everyone when given chances.

However, Lee also remains non-committal on when he will make his return from the elbow injury, though the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting on March 12, where he always been a star player for his side Kings XI Punjab.

''I'm still quite a few weeks off bowling at this point in time, but I'm comfortable with the way things are shaping up,'' Lee said.

''I'm not really sure (of a comeback date) at this point in time, but I'm seeing my surgeon Thursday and we'll know a lot more after that.

''It's just a day to day thing. I'm getting constant physio, seeing each day how it all goes.

''The arm's where all the pressure goes through, so I won't really know until I get out there and start bowling again,'' the pacer added.
