Sakal Media Group to start Leadership Programmes in different disciplines

PUNE: The Sakal International Learning Centre (SILC), the Sakal Media Group’s latest vertical will be launching a set of courses to address the skill-set deficit prevalent in the industry. This was announced by Abhijit Pawar, managing director, Sakal Media Group to a select audience comprising industry, academia and social sector captains in the city on Monday.

The courses, ‘Emerging Leaders Programmed (ELP)’ targeted at talented corporate executives and the ‘Leadership Programme for Social Profit (LSP)’ targeted at professionals working in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) would be offered in both part-time and full-time variants (see box below).

Stressing the fact that the Sakal Media Group had always been a socially oriented media group over its 80-year-old history, Pawar cited the recent example of the successful, Pune Bus Day on November 1, 2012 as a case in point.

Pawar also highlighted how the group was motivated to offer “solution based journalism” as opposed to mere criticism of problems and issues. He cited the examples of the recent, pan-Maharashtra, Tanishka Women’s Forum and Freedom from Drought movements as examples in this direction.

According to Pawar, the Sakal Media Group was a treasure trove of live-data and information backed by a strong research and development cell.

“It is this invaluable data that would benefit the SILC course applicants to hone their skills and knowledge and help them take up leadership positions,” Pawar said.

According to Pawar the holistic and inclusive approach of SILC would address problems like lack of hands-on-training and limited industry interaction.

A majority of the industry leaders present at the function expressed their desire to help and participate in this new venture.

Sakal Media Group is playing vital role in social movements like Bus-Day,Women Empowerment, Health Improvement & now in Education. It is definitely appreciable in comparison with any other social media. As far as any Educational Movement is concerned ,the people like me will definitely like to contribute our efforts for the betterment of our society & off course our nation.

No doubt sakal group giving platform to many who might not have got the platform but it is very dificult for u as well as anyone who want to transform leadership qualities because we are not following any system e.g.democrocy or dectetorship When someone who wanted to show his dedication towards nation we all tell him about democracy e.g.Anna Hajare in free india in 2011 he was been prevented under section 144 but in 1927 even britisher could not stop bapuji with under section 144 to enter In motihari(Bihar)And many of our leaders who have been accused for serious frouds enjoying freedom that means our system changes its rules for person to person let the people of india know which system they have to follow becuase any how many people refuses to accept SEZ but we forcefully applied and many of us wanted to apply equal citizenship for all over India but we are not ready to apply
