Orator, thinker Shivajirao Bhosale passes away

PUNE: Former vice-chancellor of the erstwhile Marathwada University and veteran orator Shivajirao Bhosale died at a private hospital on Tuesday afternoon after a brief illness. He was 82. His body will be cremated at Phaltan in Satara district on Wednesday at 11 am.


Born at Kaledhon near Karad, Bhosale had served as principal of Phaltan's Mudhoji College for several years. Known  for his great oratory skill, Bhosale had delivered hundreds of lectures all over Maharashtra and also abroad. He has also written a large number of books in Marathi. He was a younger brother of former chief minister Babasaheb Bhosale.
