PUNE: Sakal International Learning Centre (SILC) will organise the 'Admission Gateway to Engineering and MBA', a one-day seminar at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) on June 14.
The one-day seminar will provide first-hand information about different courses, the admission process and other related details to all students seeking admission to engineering colleges and MBA/MMS institutes across the State. According to Dr Apoorva Palkar, Chief Operating Officer (Education), Sakal Media Group, senior authorities from the field of education will address students. "The experts will provide information about various colleges/institutes, besides clearly defining the process of admission for the year 2013-14 to all the AICTE approved universities, affiliated colleges and institutes in Maharashtra," Palkar said.
Information on the online option for filling forms and guidelines will also be provided along with information on documentation. The seminar at COEP on June 14 will be telecast via video conferencing to locations in Mumbai, Kolhapur, Solapur, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Amravati and Pune.
Sakal International Learning Centre (SILC) is an initiative of the Sakal Media group to bring students face-to-face with policy makers.
The seminar is an initiative of the career guidance cell of the SILC. SILC, through its various initiatives, will counsel students on a variety of educational options.

Students aspiring to seek admission for degree and diplomas in engineering, management, MCA, pharmacy and other courses

The 'Entrance Gateway' will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will commence at 10 am and the students will be guided on engineering, polytechnic and pharmacy courses. The second session will commence at 2 pm and the students will be guided on MBA and MCA courses during this session. Although, the programme will commence at 10 am, the interested students should arrive before the scheduled time as many students are expected to attend the event.
Open to non-registered students
Students and parents who were not able to register online for the programme will also be permitted to participate in the function. Priority will be given to registered students and later, the non-registered students and parents will be permitted to attend the event. Efforts will be made to ensure that every interested person can participate in the function.
