On the occasion of his first death anniversary (Jan 24), Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal has organised ‘Swaradhiraj Bhimsen’ — an exhibition of photographs of Panditji. Capturing his varied moods on his camera, Sateesh Paknikar had published the book, Swaradhiraj Bhimsen, during the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav last December. The exhibition is based on these photographs. Panditji’s thoughts on music are published alongside his photos. Inaugurated by noted artist Ravi Paranjape, the exhibition will be open till February 4 at Sawai Gandharva Smarak on University Road. Art aficionados can visit the gallery from 10 am to 1 pm and 4 to 8 pm.
