PUNE: Over 1,000 seats in bifocal courses for Class XI remained vacant on Thursday at the end of the admission schedule. Science students have a chance to opt for these seats on merit after admissions to colleges with vacant bifocal seats. Class XI admissions completed the first phase on Thursday with completion of bifocal admissions.
Now, Centralised Admission Process (CAP) authorities will prepare a merit list for all streams. Out of 3,600 bifocal seats, 2,545 were filled through table admissions in the last five days. “Colleges can admit Science students on the vacant bifocal seats, once Science admissions are over,” said Dhiraj Nevase, deputy district vocational education and training officer.
