PUNE: Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), DSK Group, D S Kulkarni formally launched the ‘diesel’ version of Corolla Altis from Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) at DSK Toyota, Hadapsar showroom here on Wednesday.. 

The launch took place in the presence of Deputy General Manager, Toyata - Kiloskar, Shyam Kumar, Regional Head, Toyota-Kirloskar, Shirish Kulkarni, Director, DSK Motors, Amit Kulkarni and Executive Director of DSK Motors, Jitendra Mali.

Speaking on the occasion, Kulkarni said, “TKM has 41 per cent market stakes in Indian automotive market for premium segment. Looking at the increasing demand, TKM has launched the ‘diesel’ version. The Corolla Altis would be available at all our facilities across eight districts.”

“We will shortly be opening  one of Toyota’s biggest showroom in Asia with ultra modern facilities” he added.

Mali said that the Altis is available with a newly developed 1.4L in-line 4-cylinder D-4D common rail diesel engine that generates a peak power of 88.4 PS and a peak torque of 205 Nm. The D-4D engine is complemented by a six-Speed Manual Transmission  a ‘first-in-segment’ offering to provide flat torque that would lead to better fuel efficiency.”

“It has a differentiating sporty mesh grille, better aerodynamic characteristics, the lowest NVH and best ground clearance in its segment. The car’s ex-showroom price is Rs. 10.89 lakhs in Pune and is available in seven colours,” informed Mali about the characteristics of the new diesel variant. “ he added.
