Special department for filing Income-Tax returns

PUNE: The due date for filing I-T returns for individual taxpayers for FY 2010-11, whose accounts need not be audited is July 31. To avoid inconvenience, due to heavy rush, the Income Tax Department has made special arrangements for accepting returns at the special returns receipt counters opened at the respective I-T offices, where the taxpayers are accessed. The arrangements have been made from July 26 to July 31. Returns will be accepted at these counters between 10 am and 6 pm. The department has also set up separate counters for senior citizens and women taxpayers at these places.
