Try to restrict the number of products you use to shampoo and condition your hair. Try, in particular, to avoid hair sprays!
The rains are here but contrary to what you may believe, moisture in the air doesn’t translate into moisture in your hair. The onset of humidity leads to haircare problems like stickiness, greasiness and worse still, dandruff. Heightened moisture levels also make your hair flat and its texture, dull. The result: your tresses look limp!
The chlorine content in water during monsoon is also very high and this can bleach and damage your hair. However, before you begin to worry, let us tell you that you can still have great-looking hair this season. All you need to do is follow these few mantras...
How to scrunch hair Styles with natural wave, flips and ripples are hot this season. To get this look, you may have to master the art of scrunching. If your hair has a slight natural bend, wave or natural curl, follow these steps:
-Shampoo and condition with products formulated to improve your hair’s texture and flexibility
-Towel dry your hair so that it is damp, not dripping
-Apply a firm hold styling aid from the root area to the ends. Hair gel or glaze is usually better for heavy hair and styling foam or mousse can be used for fine hair. You may have to experiment to see which works for you
- To dry your hair, you will either need to use a diffuser or let it dry naturally. But don’t rush the drying process
Protecting your hair
- Use a mild shampoo
-Wash your hair regularly
- Use a conditioner after every wash but apply it more on the shaft than on the scalp and the roots.
- Drink plenty of water
- Eat a balanced, protein-rich diet. Also, do not forget to munch on plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Try some relaxing hair spas which will give your tresses the much-needed distressing they need. A hair spa will nourish, infuse moisture and protect your hair from further damage. We recommend a spa treatment at least twice a month.
