Rahul Mahajan wants to enter Parliament

SHIRDI: Rahul Mahajan, son of slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, has expressed his ambition to be a member of the Parliament. Rahul who, along with his wife, Dimpi Ganguli, visited the Saibaba temple here, told presspersons that he was willing to work as a BJP worker during the next four years and seek the party's candidature for the Lok Sabha next polls. Rahul was tipped to enter politics soon after Pramod Mahajan was killed by his own younger brother, Pravin. Hints in this connection were given by senior BJP leaders. However Rahul's wish to follow in his father's footsteps was shattered after he was embroiled in various controversies. His sister, Poonam Rao Mahajan had unsuccessfully contested State assembly polls in Mumbai as a BJP candidate. |
