PUNE: With an aim to bring all Marathi people spread across the world together on one platform, MyVishwa Corporation will launch a website http://www.globalmarathi.org/GlobalMarathi/index.htm on May 1 to coincide with the occasion of Maharashtra's golden anniversary.

The motto of the website is 'Vishwapeeth - Of the Marathi People, for the People & By the people'.

The website will have information on social activities and projects of Marathi institutions along with facilities for latest technology in networking. Besides, a Marathi encyclopedia has been provided to update the state's tradition, history and cultural heritage.

Information about Marathi books, authors and publishers across the world will be available here which can be updated.

A campaign will also be started on the website to virtually build all the historic forts in Maharashtra wherein the users put in one stone on the fort per month, thereby getting the Marathi populace under one umbrella.

“This campaign will also help spread information about the forts as users will share their experiences of the forts they have visited,” said MyVishwa Corporation chief executive officer Mandar Joglekar.
