PWE-India seminar from Today

PUNE: The Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (IPWE-India), Pune Centre, which is the professional technical body under the auspices of Ministry of Railways will hold a two-day National Technical Seminar beginning from Thursday.

 

The seminar is scheduled to be inaugurated by Minister of State for Railways E Ahamed at 9.45 am on Thursday at the Dhanvantri Auditorium, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) premises located at Wanowrie.

 

The seminar would deliberate on two themes mainly the 'Impact and Experience of Heavier Axle Loads on Indian Railways and Resultant Maintenance Strategies' and secondly the 'Innovation in Design and Construction of Road Over Bridges and Road Under Bridges on the Indian Railways'.

 

About 500 delegates from all over India shall be participating in the seminar with 41 technical papers being presented in six sessions during the two days. A technical exhibition of advanced tools, equipments and fastenings is also organized in the same premises and shall be opened during the seminar.
